GUIDING IN SCOTLAND

Expert guiding for a day, a week or longer. Based in Speyside  I am able to guide birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts, photographers and film-makers anywhere in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, specialising in tailormade itineraries for individuals and small groups.

The Highlands and Islands of Scotland contain a wealth of wildlife in beautiful wild surroundings at any time of year. Just a few examples include Crested Tit, Parrot Crossbill and Capercaillie in the Speyside pine forests. Ptarmigan, Dotterel and Snow Bunting on the high mountain plateaux. Golden and White-tailed Eagles, fishing Ospreys and lekking Black Grouse. Slavonian Grebes, Black-throated Divers and Red-throated Divers all in stunning breeding plumage. Colonies of large numbers of breeding seabirds including Puffins and Gannets. Wintering Geese, Whooper Swans, and flocks of Velvet Scoters and Long-tailed Ducks. And then there are the mammals too, such as Red Squirrel, Mountain Hare, Pine Marten, rutting Red Deer, Otter, Bottlenose Dolphin and Minke Whale.

If any of this appeals to you then please contact me and take advantage of up to date local knowledge which also includes other aspects of the natural world such as butterflies, dragonflies and plants.
